Teacher - The Peaceful Warrior
An year back I choose to become a teacher.. to teach the Art of Living Courses. My vision at that time was to share the knowledge which I gained and transformed my life, wanted to spread peace and smile. I never forced myself to become a teacher it was a happening..
If I got this knowledge earlier. If ma parents got this vision of life earlier my life would have been much better than it was then.. So I wanted to be a instrument through which I may help others live a better life, life filled with love peace and joy..
Today, now when I teach not only it transforms others life it transforms my life too.. The joy of sharing/teaching the highest knowledge which transforms the peoples life and makes them smile, laugh, enjoy and make them strong from inside. That joy and being a witness of that joy makes me speechless.. I don't have words to express what it is, how it is.. But it is..!!
As My Gurudev says I'm a "Peaceful Warrior" now..
Just grateful and gratitude towards my Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar ji and the God.

Im riding to the west
Im riding to the west..
Im riding to the west..
Im riding to the west in ma horse..
Im riding to the west wearing ma shining armour..
Im riding through the woods..
Im riding faster than the birds above me..
Im riding tearing the silence of the woods..
Im riding to the west through..
The dark of the dense forest..
The fear of the animals doesnt stopped me..
I lost ma sight yet..
Im riding to the west..
Im riding to the west..
The smell of the flowers remind me of her..
The red tulips remind me of her lustous lips..
The soft grass that moves by the air along the way resemble the long hair that moves when you walk..
The sun that sets in between those mountains on the west looks like..
The bindhi in between the eyebrows..
Im riding to the west..
I wanna be on ma love's arms.. I wanna forget the world falling on her arms..
I wanna smell the hair that falls on ma chest..
I wanna look her eyes n forget ma life..
I wanna kiss her and be there and feel the bliss..
I wanna become one with her like the waves in ocean..
Im riding to the west..
Im riding to the west to be with her..
Im tearing the wind that makes me smell her fragnance;
than the fragnance of the flowers,
than the smell of the leaves,
than the smell of the air carrying the essene of the forest..
Im riding to the west..
Im riding to the west in ma shining armour..
Im tearing the rays of the sun..
The sun is moving away flling down.. moving away with the fear ma love may stop him..
Im moving to the west to stop the sun..
To stop the time..
I wanna be with her..
I wanna stop the world when Im with her..
Im riding to the west..
Im moving towards the setting sun with shining Armour..
To stop the Sun when I meet her on the bay..
Im riding to the west..

Fool
There once lived a great mathematician in a village outside Ujjain. He was often called by the local king to advice on matters related to the
economy. His reputation had spread as far as Taxila in the North and Kanchi in the South. So it hurt him very much when the village headman told him, "You may be a great mathematician who advises the king on economic matters but your son does not know the value of gold or silver."
The mathematician called his son and asked, "What is more valuable - gold or silver?" "Gold," said the son. "That is correct. Why is it then that the village headman makes fun of you, claims you do not know the value of gold or silver? He teases me every day. He mocks me before other village elders as a father who neglects his son. This hurts me. I feel everyone in the village is laughing behind my back because you do not know what is more valuable, gold or silver. Explain this to me, son."
So the son of the mathematician told his father the reason why the village headman carried this impression. "Every day on my way to school, the village headman calls me to his house. There, in front of all village elders, he holds out a silver coin in one hand and a gold coin in other. He asks me to pick up the more valuable coin. I pick the silver coin. He laughs, the elders jeer, everyone makes fun of me. And then I go to school. This happens every day. That is why they tell you I do not know the value of gold or silver."
The father was confused. His son knew the value of gold and silver, and yet when asked to choose between a gold coin and silver coin always picked the silver coin. "Why don't you pick up the gold coin?" he asked. In response, the son took the father to his room and showed him a box. In the box were at least a hundred silver coins. Turning to his father, the mathematician's son said, "The day I pick up the gold coin the game will stop. They will stop having fun and I will stop making money."
Sometimes in life, we have to play the fool because our seniors and our peers, and sometimes even our juniors like it. That does not mean we lose in the game of life. It just means allowing others to win in one arena of the game, while we win in the other arena of the game. We have to choose which arena matters to us and which arenas do not.

Jai Guru dev
Most of out there may wonder what it means those who have a spiritual guru(Indian) would have heard this often.. If you wonder what it is or if you think its praising your guru or victory of your master.. Its time to think again.. An enlightened Satguru never needs your praise..
Jai means Victory
Guru means The great
Deva means the Divine who is fun-loving, playful, light and dignified
So "Jai Guru Dev" means victory of the greatness in you, victory of your mind/higher consiousness which is both playful and dignified**

Swami Vivekananda
When Swami Vivekananda went to USA, a lady asked him to marry her. When Swami asked the lady about what made her ask him such question. The lady replied that she was fascinated by his intellect. She wanted a child of such an intellect. So she asked Swami, whether he could marry her and give a child like him.
He said to that lady, that since she was attracted only by his intellect, there is no problem.
"My dear lady, I understand your desire. Marrying and bringing a child in to this world and understanding whether it is intelligent or not takes very long time. More over it is not guaranteed. Instead, to fulfil your desire immediately, I can suggest a guaranteed way. Take me as your child. You are my mother. Now your desire of having a child of my intellect is fulfilled."
The lady was speechless.
Only great souls like Swami Vivekananda can conceive such a spontaneous sensible response without getting upset or emotional!!
PS:- I got his as forwarded e-mail.

A Mystery
Do you like to read a good murder mystery? Not
even "Law & Order" would attempt to capture this mess. This is an
unbelievable twist of fate !!!!
Yes!
it's a true story
At the 1994 annual awards dinner given for
Forensic Science, AAFS President Dr Don Harper Mills astounded his
audience with the legal complications of a bizarre death.
Thus the
story: --------
On March 23, 1994...... The medical examiner
viewed the body of Ronald Opus, and concluded that he died from a
shotgun wound to the head.
Mr. Opus had jumped from the top of a ten story
building intending to commit suicide. He left a note to the effect
indicating his despondency.
As he fell past the 9th floor, his
life was interrupted by a shotgun blast passing through a window, which
killed him instantly.
Neither the shooter nor the deceased was aware that a safety
net had been installed just below the 8th floor level to protect some
building workers and that Ronald Opus would not have been able to
complete his suicide the way he had planned.
'Ordinarily,' Dr Mills continued, 'Someone who sets out to
commit suicide and ultimately succeeds, even though the mechanism might
not be what he intended, is still defined as committing suicide.' That
Mr. Opus was shot on the way to certain death, but probably would not
have been successful because of the safety net, caused the medical
examiner to feel that he had a "homicide" on his hands.
The room on the 9th floor, where the shotgun blast emanated,
was occupied by an elderly man and his wife. They were arguing
vigorously, and he was threatening her with a shotgun! The man was so
upset that when he pulled the trigger, he completely missed his wife,
and the pellets went through the window, striking Mr Opus.
When one intends to kill subject 'A' but kills subject 'B' in the
attempt, one is guilty of the murder of subject 'B.'
When confronted with the murder charge, the old man and his
wife were both adamant, and both said that they thought the shotgun was
not loaded.
The old man said it was a long standing habit to threaten his wife
with the unloaded shotgun. He had no intention to murder her. Therefore
the killing of Mr. Opus appeared to be an accident; that is, assuming
the gun had been accidentally loaded.
The continuing investigation turned up a witness who saw the old
couple's son loading the shotgun about six weeks prior to the fatal
accident.
It also transpired that the old lady had cut off her son's financial support and the son, knowing the
propensity of his father to use the shotgun threateningly, loaded the gun with the
expectation that his father would shoot his mother.
Since the loader of the gun was aware of this, he was guilty of
the murder even though he didn't actually pull the trigger. The case
now becomes one of murder on the part of the son for the death of Ronald
Opus.
Now comes the exquisite twist:
Further investigation revealed
that the son was, in fact, Ronald Opus. He had become increasingly
despondent over the failure of his attempt to engineer his mother's
murder. This led him to jump off the ten-story building on March 23rd,
only to be killed by a shotgun blast passing through the 9th story
window.
The son,
Ronald Opus, had actually murdered himself. So the medical examiner
closed the case as a suicide.

Why do we shout in Anger!!
A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people
shout at each other when they are upset?'
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our
calm,we shout for that.'
'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the
saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why
doyou shout at a person when you're angry?'
Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their
hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to
hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout
tohear each other through that great distance.'
Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They
don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very
close. The distance between them is very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other
intheir love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at eachother
and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each
other.'
MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say
words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the
distance is so great that you will not find the path to return
PS:- Got this as a email and it touched me as I have had lost a few wonderful people because of ma anger.We often take pride of being anger and showing tantrums but its very easy to show your attitude ego and anger, and its very tough get a control over them and grow above it. Be skillful in handling relations, you can learn from mistakes so never worry about past. Love every one. Last but not least "Show your anger but don't get angry.. Sri Sri"

Flute
Flute is one of the instruments which can touch the soul of all living beings in earth.I started learning it few days back as it was my childhood passion now aim in life is to play the flute and make the person whoever listen it happy. The seed for this was dropped inside ma heart by a tuition master in my early teens however I started following the path when Im 26 and Im happy to start at this stage because I was able to start learning it from Vrindhavan Gurukul run by Pandit Shri Hariprasad Chaurasia, now my master Sameer Rao is helping to make ma dreams fruitful.
I like flute for the reason that it has to be controlled by breath which helps to calm the mind and I believe flute can make a conversation between soul to soul. Sri Sri Ravishankarji has once said in his knowledge sheet that a person who feel low/sad should remain silent attend satsang and also to listen to flute music to regain the peace of mind. I wonder if one who listens can get a peace of mind then one who plays can go beyond that and the flautist/any musician is thus doing a great service to the World.
Flute
Bansuri flute has six finger holes and one embouchure hole, and is used predominantly in the Hindustani music of Northern India. The Venu or Pullanguzhal, has eight finger holes, and is played predominantly in the Carnatic music of Southern India. Flute is one of the three original forms of rendering Indian Classical music according to ancient scriptures - Vaani (Vocal), Veena (String) and Venu (Flute). Flute is loved by most of the Indians as it was Lord Krishna’s instrument to. The western flute is different from the Indian flute in many ways and also it doesn’t create the smooth soothing sounds as such India flutes can.
Music is God’s gift to Us we have to respect it by exploring it, learn it, encourage it and spread it and spread smile around the world which move towards violence and trauma.

I am the Father of hundreds
A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards.
The little boy asked why he wore his collar backwards.
The man, who was a priest, said 'I am a Father.'
The little boy replied 'My Dad doesn't wear his collar like that.'
The priest looked up from his book and answered 'I am the Father of many.'
The boy said 'My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way'
The priest, getting impatient, said 'I am the Father of hundreds' and went back to reading his book.
The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, 'Maybe you should use a condom and wear your pants backwards instead of your collar.'

Pros n cons of different flash Delivery methods
If you want to work on flash streaming are confused to select a delivery method go through the below link.
http://www.digital-web.com/articles/efficient_video_delivery_over_the_internet/
Different Ways of delivering Video over Internet:-
HTTP Progressive Download:- The basic way to deliver flash video over internet efficient for short video files doesnt need any additional software or hardware support. you cannot skip a particular portion of video and skip to a new position you have to wait for the complete download. Not an efficient method to lengthy videos.
RTMP Streaming:
This is the most efficient way to provide streaming as well as live broadcast streaming and also help to deliver access controllable videos. one main advantage over progressive download is you can jump to different time frames without waiting for the previous portion to be downloaded. Server should be configured to provide streaming.
HTTP Streaming
This is a combination of the above two methodology but without any access control and is suitable for lengthy videos. Video content may be downloaded without actually being viewed, resulting in inefficient bandwidth usage. In addition, HTTP streaming is not supported by storage services only capable of serving static content
Partitioning Multiple Segments:-
The advantages of this approach are:
No special software required other than a standard web server to serve the video
It lets users jump close to any point in the video
Delivering close to only the number of bytes required for viewing the video
This approach requires video to be partitioned into multiple segments for a particular time interval.

Making Flash Video Player Skin visible and invisible
Hi Everybody
I faced a problem when I got a project to show and hide skin of a flash video player on roll over and roll out. I was not able to use th roll over and roll out events because the video player size is exactly same as the stage size. The help I found online dint helped me much. So I used the MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE event to show the skin and Event.MOUSE_LEAVE to hide the skin. After several trial and errors and several research I found a feasible solution for this yet it throws some Warning(not an error) rarely but it works properly.
Cheers
Harish..
Code :
stage.addEventListener(Event.MOUSE_LEAVE,skinHide);
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE,skinShow);
function skinShow(evt:MouseEvent):void {
this.flvVidPlayer.skin = skinURL ;
}
function skinHide(evt:Event):void {
try {
this. flvVidPlayer.skin =null;
this. flvVidPlayer.skinAutoHide = false
} catch (e:Error) {
trace("my error"+e);
}
}

Error #2044: Unhandled skinError:
fl.video::UIManager/http://www.adobe.com/2007/flash/flvplayback/
Cheers
Harish..
Code :
stage.addEventListener(Event.MOUSE_LEAVE,skinHide);
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE,skinShow);
function skinShow(evt:MouseEvent):void {
this.flvVidPlayer.skin = skinURL ;
}
function skinHide(evt:Event):void {
try {
this. flvVidPlayer.skin =null;
this. flvVidPlayer.skinAutoHide = false
} catch (e:Error) {
trace("my error"+e);
}
}

Flash CS3 CS4 Auto format Bug
Most of you guys would have come across a serious bug in Adobe Flash CS3 and CS4 during the autoformat. The bug is it removes all the parenthesis or round brackets when u press Ctrl + shift + F. Its a serious bug for a software like Flash in which mathematical and logical calculations plays an important role most of the forums let with no answer how ever in one forum which directed me to a weird idea but it worked make sure you have more than one fla file when u format the Class file. Strange but it works. I am really amazed how adobe dint noticed or not given much importance for this in their CS4 when the bug already exist in CS3. The most sarcastic was senocular's advice to manual formatting that was the biggest joke he would have made because 90% of developers are used to press ctrl+shift+f for auto align as well as for a compile check and then they save. Poor guy..

Cross Domain Image load in AS3
About Cross Domain and the Policy File:
Flash player by default prevents loading data from cross-domain servers(i.e. the swf can load the data only from the server in which it is hosted by default). However this can be over come by placing a cross domain(crossdomain.xml) policy file in the root of the different server from which the data(content) is present. The xml file will allow other domains to load the content from it. The crossdomain.xml should be in the root directory.
In flash player 9 just placing the crossdomain.xml in the servers root folder will not be enough to load the image. You must instantiate a LoaderContext object and use it along with the loader.load(urlReqst,loaderContext) function to load the image from a different domain successfully.
function loadImage(imURL:String) {
var crsDomainLoader:LoaderContext;
crsDomainLoader= new LoaderContext();
crsDomainLoader.checkPolicyFile=true;
var imgLoader:Loader=new Loader();
imgLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT,imgLoaded,false, 0,true);
imgLoader.load(new URLRequest(imURL),crsDomainLoader);
}
This is the best solution I have found and it will work finely provided the crossdoamin.xml is placed on the proper location.

AS3 Double Click
The double click event introduced in AS3 (MouseEvent.DOUBLE_CLICK) will be working only if the button property "doubleClickEnabled" is set to true explicitly. If this property is not set the double click event will not be triggered.

customButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.DOUBLE_CLICK,onThumbClick,false ,0,true);

AS 3 Startdrag with co-ordinates
The drag and drop functionality is a inevitable functionality which a flash programmer can't avoid. The startDrag() function however has undergone a simple modification in the latest version which gives a bit trouble to lots of programmers who have used the earlier version.
The AS3 startDrag was different from the previous version(in the parameter specification). The AS3 start drag require two parameters the first parameter is a Boolean value for lock center(same as previous versions), the second parameter is a rectangle object which specify the bound/co-ordinates. The Rectangle bound area has to be created with four parameters(1st two or x,y and later two or width and height) which specify the bounding area which is some how similar to the AS2.
You can use the following generic code in two different scenarios either your drag object is smaller than the stage size or even if it is larger than the stage size.
//manually defining the stagewidth and height
//you can use stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight
var stagWit=550;
var stagHit=400;
//fn to drag the mc
//the movieclip used have the registration point @ left top..
//this method is ideal when the drag object is smaller than stage as well as when the drag object is larger than stage//dragable area..
function startMoveDrag(event:MouseEvent):void {
var left:Number=stagWit-drag.width;
var top:Number=stagHit-drag.height;
var right:Number=0;
var bottom:Number=0;
var myWidth:Number=right-left;
var myHeight:Number=bottom-top;
//create the rectangle using the above co-ordinates
var boundRect:Rectangle=new Rectangle(left,top,myWidth,myHeight);
//create the drag funcction
drag.startDrag(false,boundRect);
}
function stopMoveDrag(event:MouseEvent):void {
drag.stopDrag();
}
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,startMoveDrag);
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopMoveDrag);

Digitally signed certificates for AIR application created by individual user
Digitally signing your applications will give the assurance to the user that the application doesn't do any harmful or malicious act with the users data. Previously the air applications have only corporate certification; now individuals(developers) can also create signatures for AIR application. You can obtain the certificate from CHOOSEN certificate authority (CA) or any other CA. You can find more details about the certificate in this pdf.

Six Things You should not forget when you create a Rich Internet Application(RIA)
hey folks
I just gone through a useful link by Serge in which he states 6 points you should follow while developing a RIA which wont annoy the end user as well as make sure they wont uninstall your application if you take care of some small stuffs while devloping it.
Your RIA should be compatible to all the below scenarios and less annoying.
1 Launching your application on login/startup-(Ask user preference after installation or add a checkbox to preference tab)
2 Always in front-(Ask user preference)
3 Automatically setting the file type-(Ask user preference)
4 Full screen applications(Should be based on the necessity and in full screen mode add buttons or shortcuts to jump to other applications)
5 Custom chrome- Minimize and close button is a must
6 Self signed applications- Get signed certificates for commercial application everybody is scared of harmful application.
Click the following URL for more details.
